Linaro ensures that ICS Android can be compiled against Linaro's monthly 4.6 toolchain drops and the original 4.4 toolchain from AOSP. This provides a great reference point for evaluating AOSP on 4.6 and should help when Google moves Android to 4.6. This session will look at whats been done, benchmarks current AOSP upstreaming and future plans.

Common session between the Landing Teams and the Dev Platform team to go over improvements and future discussions for the Ubuntu LEB. Each platform we have contains a core to offload graphics. We need to extend the existing support, bring up support for chips that haven't had accelerated graphics and plan for the future.

This session is to discuss what future topics we might be interesting for the dev platform group to work on in the future cycles. Suggestions:  * Toolchain CI * ARMHF (still something to do?)  * Extending LAVA support  * Cross Build Support  * Improving the Releases  * Server  * Ubuntu TV, Phone and Tablet

Most SoC vendors distribute binary blobs with Linux kernel shims. These binary blobs enable graphics engines, DSPs and other cores on ARM and other architecture SoCs. These binary blobs tend to be tied to specific kernel versions which limits unreadability and hackability and complicates device manufactures, which slows down innovation and the introduction of new and unique computing devices. This BoF is aimed at trying to improve this situation with pragmatic steps. Anyone interested in discussing their experience with binary blob integration, ideas for making this easier to deal with across architectures, ways to encourage openness while allowing vendor differentiation and others interested in a constructive dialog should attend.

This is a preview of the presentation Bero will be giving at ELC. Android and "normal" Embedded Linux are often seen as completely different projects with different communities - merely sharing a common kernel. However, there are many things the two projects can learn from each other, and there's lots of useful code from the "other side" that members of "one side" typically aren't aware of - or never thought of using in their environment. This session will identify useful code from both sides that can be useful to the "other side" - in the hopes of moving both the projects and the communities a bit closer together.

This session will present how the Ubuntu LEB images are currently tested with LAVA, and discuss about future planning/development to reach the goal of having the image testing mostly automated (and covering how manual test report should also be handled).
