netplan introduction and next steps
(
Core
)
Ubuntu 16.10 introduced "netplan", a new network configuration tool. It aims to unify configuration of our installers, cloud-init, MaaS and other "oracles" to provide the desired configuration as YAML, and supports networkd, NetworkManager, and possibly other backends.
This session is an introduction about its purpose and some hands-on examples, followed by planning the next steps of integration and some Q&A.
